Sri Weekend Break – Bentota Lanka 2N/3D

Day 01  : Bentota
Colombo – Bentota (Approx. 2 hrs)

On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you shall be received by Apple Leisure representative.
Thereafter you shall proceed to Bentota – The Infamous Beach Destination of Srilanka .
Bentota lies at the finishing end of the “Golden Mile” which is an hour’s drive from Colombo. Famous for its prime beaches Bentota is today one of Sri Lanka’s most sought after tourist destinations. The town of Bentota actually, sits on an estuary, where the river and the sea meet. This makes the area quite famous for water sports like windsurfing, scuba diving & snorkeling.
You can enjoy water sports such as Jet Ski, Banana Ride and Tube Ride (charges to be paid directly)
OR Visit one of the Turtle Hatcheries & enjoy Boat ride on Madu Ganga River with compliments from Thomas Cook!

Day 02  : Bentota
Bentota

Today you have an option to proceed for a thrilling Whale Watching experience in Mirissa (Whale watching charges to be paid directly. Whale watching ferry boats depart from Mirissa at around 0600 hrs.
Later in the day, you may proceed for an optional day trip to Galle (entrances wherever applicable to be paid directly)
The Port of Galle – Sri Lanka’s 04th biggest town is 115 km south of Colombo and close to Hikkaduwa. Galle is a town rich in history and in fact, was the centre of Dutch rule in the 17th century. The majestic Galle Fort bears ample testimony to that fact. The City of Galle is one of the best-preserved colonial-era cities in Southeast Asia, and has been declared a World Heritage City. Galle was a major port in Sri Lanka and still handles shipping and cruising yachts.
The Dutch Museum, Groote Kerk (Great Church) and the National Maritime Museum are some of the famous tourist attractions in Galle. The city is also famous for its delicate handmade lace and ebony carvings. The Galle International Cricket Stadium has also contributed to enhance the image of the city as a sports destination since of late.
Turtle Hatchery
The “Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery” is a non – profitable organization which is maintained for the survival of Sea Turtles for the next generation. The “Turtle Farm” is situated in Habaraduwa (southern part of Sri Lanka – Galle District) near to the beautiful beach. That is 5m from the Galle – Matara main road. The center was started in 1986 and up to now we have released more than 500,000 Sea Turtles to the ocean.

Day 03  : Bentota to Colombo
Departure
Have breakfast at Hotel and later depart for the airport for departure.
